That’s right—the Ghostbusters YouTube channel has put up the first ten minutes of the movie (well, nine minutes and forty-eight seconds, if you want to be precise) for you to watch with your eyeballs. Battle of the Linguist Mages
After one full minute of intro credits (set to creepy Ghostbusters music, at least), we cut to a stormy, supernatural sky with an older Egon driving a truck way too fast with a full ghost trap. One of those supernatural dogs from the first Ghostbusters movie is chasing him, and he sadly loses the fight in a suitably creepy farmhouse. We then cut to Egon’s estranged daughter and two grandkids, who head to the aforementioned farmhouse, which has signs (literally) that suggest that Egon went a bit off the deep end.
The clip ends with grandkid Trevor (Finn Wolfhard) saying, “Oh my God, this is so much worse than I thought it would be.” What a note to end on!
If you watch the first ten minutes and are thirsting for more, you can now buy the film in its entirety on the digital platform of your choice or hold out for the Blu-ray or DVD, which drops in stores on February 1, 2022.
